Gadget of the Week - Mophie Juice Pack Air

E-mail Print PDF

The Mophie Juice Pack Air and Plus are fantastic iPhone 4 and 4S cases that can protect your iPhone as well as recharge it's battery. The stylish case has a variety of color schemes for most peoples taste. I ended up getting one (without thinking about it) that ended up matching my Red Anodized Aluminum Case on my Alienware m18x. The Mophie has a few features that make it great.  Click on Read More for our mini-review.

Random Gaming Session - Final Fantasy I on iPhone

E-mail Print PDF

In between Hurricane Feeders Bands it's nice to have something to do in your fortress of a house. So why not play some FFI on your iPhone or iPad. Even if you don't have a storm nearby, it's just plain fun. I had posted a few months back on facebook my mini-review, and I loved the game. Just remember not to make the same mistake I made. Don't beat the game before saving a separate file, or you will have to start all over again if you want to complete the high end-game content addons from the PSP and DS versions. either that or go all the way into the lowest levels of the Chaos Shrine, get the Masamune and use "EXIT" then you are good to go...

Random Gaming Session - Final Fantasy III on Iphone

E-mail Print PDF

I have played through both FF1-2 on iOS and I have had a lot of fun with both.  Back in March FF3 released on the iOS platform and it was a very welcome addition.  The graphics are highly updated, the gameplay is equal to that of the DS title. Overall, highly enjoyable. Don't confuse this with the SNES release of Final Fantasy III (which is actually Part VI in Japan), this is the Original FF3 that never released on the SNES here in the states. This title was actually very important in the FF universe, it introduced the very important job change system. Which also solidified some of the customary looks for certain FF classes, like the Red Wizard above - FFXI players will recognize the Warlock's AF look. The FF3 most americans are used to was the FF that introduced us to Moogles, Magicite and Magitech, which is also one of the most beloved titles in the FF series of RPG's.

Icade for Ipad

My good friend and colleague Gabriel Novo, over @ Crafting Comics pointed out that I should look at this cool device.  I responded, It's cool, I've heard of it, but I would like one before I can review it or really talk about it.

I had read all kinds of info for it online and decided, I can speak about it and state what I would like out of this device.  I love the concept, I think it was only natural that the April Fool's-turned-reality joke device would have eventually gotten made.  I actually remember talking about this to Erik "The Internet" Ferris over at NerdFit, "Sure its a joke, but I'm certain someone will take the joke and create it...it's too good a concept not to capitalize on it."
