Catherine released in Japan February this year.  We just got it last week July 26th

Last week we finally got Catherine from Atlus, a Mature rated Anime styled Interactive Gaming experience like no other.  The Horror Puzzle-Platformer Adventure game (that was a mouthful) follows Vincent, who after meeting a strange girl named ...Derp, Catherine, starts having nightmares that may get him killed. Golden Playhouse (Story Mode), goes between Daytime and Nightmare scenarios. During the daytime, Vincent talks to his friends and tries to keep his relationship with the two women, Catherine and Katherine, under control.

The Game is a total mind trip and a half (to say the least), however it breaks the mold of normalcy when it comes to what we expect out of video games anymore.  So for a Random Gaming Session - it's perfect.  The HD visuals are fantastic and we can easily get sucked into some of the seemingly existentialistic, if not, simply there for abstraction, imagery. A great game to play in the middle of the night when you can't get any sleep.
