The Xbox 360 is the second video game console produced by Microsoft and the successor to the Xbox. The Xbox 360 competes with Sony's PlayStation 3 and Nintendo's Wii as part of the seventh generation of video game consoles. As of March 31, 2011, there are over 53.6 million Xbox 360 consoles worldwide.

The Xbox 360 was officially unveiled on MTV on May 12, 2005, with detailed launch and game information divulged later that month at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3). The console sold out completely upon release in all regions except in Japan.

Some major features of the Xbox 360 are its integrated Xbox Live service that allows players to compete online, download arcade games, game demos, trailers, TV shows, music and movies and its Windows Media Center multimedia capabilities. The Xbox 360 also offers region specific access to third-party media streaming services such as Netflix and ESPN in the US or Sky Go in the UK.

Silent Hill: Downpour

As many of you know, I am a complete chicken when it comes to most horror games. However, being a chicken doesn't mean I don't enjoy a good Silent Hill video game. Silent Hill has always called to me, which is why when Konami's newest incarnation of the game Silent Hill: Downpour has gotten me excited. The art and rain significance behind this title reminded me of Heavy Rain, with all the sad. You return to the creepy town of Silent Hill as Murphy Pendleton, a prisoner who escaped while in transport to, well...a prison. This game is going to be out for Xbox 360 and PS3 on March 13 and you can bet that I will be back telling you how freaked out It will make me (or is going to make me, or was...past, present, and future tenses covered I guess). Horror fans should check out the trailer below.

Random session: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

I was very excited when I got the chance to play Skyrim because of the positive buzz. It's the Game of the Year and, with my past reputation with the Elder Scrolls games, I have to say Skyrim lives up to its high expectations.

200 years have passed since the last game and the land is in civil war. You play a prisoner who gets his freedom when a dragon attacks and decimates the area. You, of course, get to choose between the rebels and the empire (Star Wars reference anyone?) and this majorly affects the side story.

Points of greatness are the deep (but simple) character design, captivating story line, and amazing graphics. The landscapes are massive and in a sandbox game such as this that's an essential part. One thing that I absolutely love was the dragon shouts. When killing a dragon, you can absorb their soul and use it to learn dragon shouts after going to a word wall. Dragon shouts are more powerful than regular magic and it seems more effective when you can summon a giant storm to kill your enemies.

All in all, I was worried about whether Skyrim was going to live up to the expectation I had for it and it did that and much more. With a great story, graphics, and gameplay, it's a great buy. So if you're on the fence about this game, I highly recommend you get it.

Random Gaming Session - Call of Duty MW3

Because when your head cold is kicking your ass, you might as well be kicking someone elses. MW3 is now the highest selling video game of all time in it's first week, with over $775 million in gross sales. Not to mention Xbox Live hitting over 3.3 million players live at any one time (while playing the same game). I'd say it's a good bet, get online, put in your MW3 and go shoot someone in the face...

This trailer is everything that is RIGHT in video games. Enough with realism, just give me some crazy balls to the wall action that leaves me panting and needing to change my pants.  Here's my money THQ, you've earned it.
