Kotobukiya Reveals New Statues!

E-mail Print PDF

Collectible manufacturer Kotobukiya has revealed plans for new statues in their Bishoujo line at NYCC! Here's their official announcement:

"While Kotobukiya has a lot in store for New York Comic Con attendees this weekend, you can make sure to keep up with the latest news by 'liking' Kotobukiya’s International Facebook page. Here you will see four new Bishoujo illustrations by master artist Shunya Yamashita: Marvel Comics Storm, Marvel Comics Black Widow, Asuka Kazama of Tekken Tag Tournament 2, and Jaina Solo from the Star Wars Extended Universe!"

Storm is tentatively set for a summer 2012 release date according to a comment on their Facebook, but we'll see how that goes.

They've also announced new licenses for some Street Fighter, Men in Black, and Spiderman goodness on their Facebook, so keep an eye out for those, too!

Personally, I'm most excited about the Storm announcement since she's the only one, aside from Black Widow, that I know/care anything about; she also happens to be my favorite X-Man. I recently got myself the Catwoman Bishoujo statue, and while I have a couple of nitpicks, it is indeed a thing of beauty. I have high hopes for these next statues, and am eager to see what they reveal next!

Stan Lee and the Heads of 1821 Comics will be unveiling Romeo & Juliet: The War in a special invite only event that GPX will be attending and I will be getting the inside scoop on this anticipated graphic novel, which releases November 30th.  Nothing like getting a chance to hangout with Stan "The Man" Lee, get some swag on some new graphic novels and some other goodies (which we will be giving away online after the convention).

Romeo & Juliet will feature art from by: Skan Srisuwan
