Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance - Mini-Review

Don't do drugs kids...or you might grow up to make movies like this...

Ghost Rider's sequel was an interestingly odd set of events, as most of the comic book world did not expect a sequel to come forward after the first film relatively failed in its critical standing. I can completely understand the need to make a sequel, as the film was commercially successful, despite it lacking any real substance and was considered one of the worst comic based films of the decade.

So, did we get a sequel that made the fans proud to give it another shot? ...No...

New Marvel Comic This Fall? Maybe?

E-mail Print PDF

Marvel released this promo pic earlier today, but no one knows exactly what it means and Marvel's keeping very hush-hush about it. Is it a new comic series? A TV show? A webseries? A movie? A commemorative plate from The Bradford Exchange? WHAT DOES IT MEAN???!!! As a Gambit fan, I must know!!! Do you guys have any thoughts, opinions, or theories?

UPDATE: It's been revealed that the teaser is for a brand new Gambit comic series! Read the very entertaining and hopeful interview with writer James Asmus over here at Comics Alliance!

Review: Bowen Designs Thor mini bust

E-mail Print PDF

This was my first purchase from Fanboy Collectibles and I assure you it won’t be my last! I actually got this statue as a birthday gift for my dad (hope he likes it!) since he’s a huge classic Thor fan (although he refuses to nerd out with me most of the time). Is it worth the money? Find out in my review below!

Random Comic - Transformers Comics #1 (1984)

E-mail Print PDF

I love collecting all kinds of comics, and partial to my love of the series was my awkward OCD to have complete sets of things.  The Transformers comic was no different, the first of which coming with the toys in 1984. These were all great, because they were like the shows, designed to sell the toys. I have enjoyed them often and it's time to dust off the 80 set collection that ran from 1984 through to 1991. Marvel was the first of three publishers to put these out, the second went out of business (Dreamwave) and the current comics are put out by IDW since 2005.  Nothing is yet available on the Marvel or Comixology Apps for the older comics but IDW has some of the newer issues available for mobile devices.

Late Night Comics Craving - I just picked up all of the series for $.99 a piece (Marvel Dollar Fridays on iPad) as well as picking up "Wolverine: The End" a buck a pop.  NICE! Great story by Jason Aaron, art by Ron Garney including the Cover.
