Since we're all pretty big comic nerds here, we've got some awesome news to share with you all:

"The fans have spoken. Comic legend Stan Lee, 1821 Comics and POW! Entertainment’s highly anticipated large coffee [table] graphic novel book Romeo and Juliet: The War’s nationwide debut last week hit No. 7 on the New York Times Best Sellers list on both hardcover and paperback graphic books best-seller lists. Today Romeo and Juliet: The War is available digitally on iBooks for $9.99. Romeo and Juliet: The War is the brainchild of Lee, Paris Kasidokostas Latsis and Terry Dougas, founders of 1821 Comics and Lee’s producing partner Gill champion, President and COO of POW! Entertainment.
The book is currently available everywhere at local comic retailers and book stores.
Romeo and Juliet: The War is a futuristic and stylized retelling of William Shakespeare’s classic Romeo and Juliet tale. A tentpole-style trailer for Romeo and Juliet: The War can be seen at the 1821 Comics YouTube Channel. Romeo and Juliet: The War story takes Shakespeare's star-crossed lovers and places them in the futuristic sci-fi/fantasy Empire of Verona, the most powerful territory on Earth. The Montagues, powerful cyborgs made of artificial DNA, and the Capulets, genetically enhanced humans known for their speed and agility, worked in tandem to destroy all threats to the city. With no one left to fight, the Montagues and Capulets found themselves a new enemy: each other."

Nowadays when I visit my local comic shop, I oftentimes find myself browsing around at other titles that I never thought I'd be interested in picking up. And because I have this kind of time, I wanted to do a little write-up on what titles I'm reading now and which ones I'm looking to get pretty soon. I'd love to hear what my partners-in-crime here at GPX are reading as well -hinthintnudgenudge- (Btw, I completely blame Samantha Parker for indirectly getting me hooked on comics. You know what you did...)
